Surgical Oncology (Head and Neck and GYN Oncology)
This is a 34-bed inpatient unit with primarily private patient rooms that serves patients having surgery for head and neck, gynecological and brain cancers. This is both a challenging and stimulating clinical environment that offers numerous opportunities for professional growth, especially in airway management and neurological monitoring and care. This unit also has cardiac telemetry capability. The unit staff is made up of registered nurses, patient care associates, clinical nurse specialist, and unit clerical associates who work in collaboration with the members of the multidisciplinary team including pharmacists, respiratory therapists and dieticians along with physicians and residents.
