Nursing in The James Perioperative Services
The James Perioperative Services is composed of the ambulatory surgery unit (ASU), the operating room (OR) and the post anesthesia care unit (PACU). Registered nurses practice in all three areas along with patient care associates, unit clerical associates, surgical technologists and anesthesia assistants in the OR. Perioperative Services is operational Monday through Friday and on weekends for emergency cases. Our six OR suites are equipped with the latest technology and provide many opportunities for our staff to be involved in cutting edge surgical cancer care and treatment.
