Nurse Internship Program
The Nurse Internship Program (NIP) at OSU Medical Center offers a unique opportunity for both newly licensed and experienced RNs who wish to pursue new challenges in the nursing profession.  The Internship combines hands-on clinical experience with in-depth classroom learning by providing:

  • Paid orientation
  • Formal classroom instruction specific to chosen specialty track
  • A variety of clinical unit rotations
  • Preceptorship designed to meet individual nurse needs
  • Weekly meetings with a Program Manager to assess progress and direction

    Admission to the Nurse Internship Program is a competitive process. Applications are accepted year-round, but placements are limited. Interns are typically placed in the Nurse Internship Program in January through March and July through September.

The Nurse Internship Program offers exclusive opportunities for you to:

  • Explore a career path in a particular area of nursing
  • Experience clinical unit rotations before you commit to a specific practice area
  • Enhance your technical skills in a number of areas

Nursing Scholarships
Nursing students are eligible to receive up to $5,000 in scholarship money while completing their nursing education in exchange for a two-year, post-graduation commitment to OSU Medical Center. Applications are accepted during the period of six months to one year prior to your graduation date. We are currently accepting applications for nursing students graduating in 2006 and beyond.
