James Reunion Sees Record Turnout
More than 11,000 people, including some 2,089 cancer survivors and their families, enjoyed an evening of fun and camaraderie at the annual James Reunion held in observance of Cancer Survivors Day on Sunday, June 15, 2008, at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.
From 4-9 p.m., reunion guests had full “after-hours” access to the newly renovated zoo, where they were able to meet-and-greet the animals and their keepers, enjoy food and entertainment and receive a special survivor gift, and visit a Survivorship Expo featuring health and wellness advice and materials from experts at Ohio State’s James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.
