Health Basic Training for Men

Health Basic Training for Men is a series of programs to raise awareness and provide education about cancer prevention, early detection and clinical trials. Past program topics have included:

  • Prostate Cancer
  • Colorectal Cancer
  • Healthy Eating and Physical Activity

Programs are held in conjunction with televised sporting events to maximize interest and encourage attendance of African-American men. Partners in the programs are The Ohio State University Medical Center, the Diversity Enhancement Program at The James, Columbus Health Department, The National Cancer Institute’s Cancer Information Service and Fitness Boot Camp of Columbus.
