Hand in Hand

Designed to help children (ages 2 to 12) and their families cope with any type of serious illness. Children learn about the illness, how to cope with the changes that illness incurs, how to identify their feelings and fears as well as how to ask for help when they need it. The program also identifies magical thinking in children and reinforces that the child can’t catch the illness, that it isn’t their fault that their loved one is ill and that there will always be someone there to take care of them.

This group meets Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. for six weeks.
